Kirsten Rodgers, EdD, MSPH, MCHES
Founder
Dr. Kirsten Rodgers is a workforce development expert with over twenty years of experience teaching, developing programs, and delivering innovative learning and leadership strategies in public and private health organizations. As founder of Proximate Learning, LLC, she leads the development and implementation of interventions with government and non-profit organizations to build work environments where people thrive. Over her nine-year tenure working to support the development of health professionals at Proximate Learning, Kirsten has impacted organizations, teams, and professionals through her endless curiosity for learning solutions and her dedication to building systems that inspire growth. Kirsten has served in numerous academic appointments preparing a new generation of health professionals and is a founding editorial board member of Pedagogy in Health Promotion. Throughout her career, she has served on professional boards that support and maintain integrity of the health education professional and set standards for organizations in their hiring processes. She has been a Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES) since 2011 and is a certified Leadership Architect (Korn Ferry), Disc and MBTI facilitator, and Learning Agility coach. Kirsten earned a doctorate in Health Education from Columbia University, 2010 and a Master of Science in Public Health from the University of South Carolina, Arnold School of Public Health, 2003. She graduated from University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in 2001.
When Kirsten is not in her office, she is doing yoga, reading, playing tennis, and spending time outdoors with her husband, two children and dogs. She can’t wait to travel to the next best destination and considers herself a foodie.
