“Proximate Learning developed a top-notch course on Leadership that was tailored specifically to our agency and audience in healthcare."
Specialist in Oncology, Ft Worth, Texas
After taking the community assessment training, I partnered with Proximate Learning to help build our agency staff's capacity to successfully complete our public health accreditation process. We received the guidance and direction we needed and our staff learned valuable skills.
“Proximate Learning developed and implemented a hybrid training program for our interns . The program was superior to others we used in the past and the interns were thrilled to be able to complete some of the trainings online.
Proximate Learning, LLC was founded in 2016 by Kirsten Rodgers, EdD., MSPH, MCHES. Dr. Rodgers spent the first half of her professional career teaching graduate students and professionals in the medical and health fields. She served as a continuing education specialist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and a professional trainer for over 15 years. In 2014 an assessment of learning opportunities began to show the need for additional customized learning for those who had busy schedules in the health and medical industry. By 2016, Dr. Rodgers began consulting with non-profits, communities, and physicians to develop tailored hybrid approaches to learning. Five years later, she has worked with over 25 clients in 8 states to provide quality professional development and continuing education. Proximate Learning offers continuing education including CME, CNE, CHEC, CPH credits.

Expert tips to create learning pathways for continued professional development.

Healthcare and related fields require a variety of skills, some in which an agency, or office may not have an expertise. Whether a skill gap has been identified or whether an expert is needed to help identify a gap, Proximate Learning training services can offer guidance when you or your agency needs it. With expert advice and customized training programs, Proximate Learning will provide your agency or office with learning support and expertise.
Training should adequately prepare health professionals to do their jobs better, more efficiently, and with less stress. Often trainings span hours or days and are theoretical in nature. The lack of active learning or just the lag between education and experience makes it difficult for learners to effectively translate new knowledge into action. Proximate Learning consultants are experts in how adults learn and offer the best learning opportunities for immediate practice.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COURSES
Proximate Learning understands that health professionals are busy. Career credentials require recertification and it can be difficult to find affordable and useful learning experiences. While webinars and online trainings offer sufficient topic-specific materials, they do not often have the time to develop new skills or dig deeper into a content area. Proximate Learning is dedicated to offering virtual and hybrid professional development courses for health professionals in the comfort of their home or office.
