Carla Jones-Harrell, MUEP, MPH

Carla Jones-Harrell is a public health educator, practitioner, and researcher with over a decade of experience in teaching, project management, and data analysis. At Proximate Learning, she has developed nationwide workforce development curricula through collaborations with the National Network of Public Health Institutes, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Project Firstline, and Public Health AmeriCorps. She has taught topics such as public policy, program evaluation, health equity, and successful partnerships. Prior to joining Proximate Learning, she worked for The Carter Center's Mental Health program, directed projects at the Center for Design and Health, and managed an international network of cities through the Biophilic Cities Network. She is a Ph.D. candidate in the Behavioral, Social, and Health Education Sciences Department at Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health with a certificate in Advanced Data Analytics for Drug-Related Harms. She also has graduate degrees in health policy and urban planning from the University of Virginia.
